Project Details
- Location: Richland, Mississippi
- Product: Hydraway 12″ & 12″ Splices
- Application: Synthetic Turf Field Conversion
Challenge: Upgrading the football field from natural grass to synthetic turf meant rainwater could no longer soak naturally into the ground. Without a fast way to drain heavy storms, water would trap beneath the turf, softening the field’s base, risking premature turf damage, and forcing game delays.
Solution: To handle the water volume, the Hydraway system and matching splices were specified following onsite submittals with the project engineer. The contractor installed the system across the subgrade, creating a flat, high-speed drainage grid directly beneath the new synthetic turf layout.
Result: The new network successfully keeps the subgrade dry and the field’s foundation stable. Even during severe downpours, the system completely eliminates standing water, ensuring the field stays structurally sound and always ready for game day.
